Two Credible Witnesses For The Principal

 

 
If the principal cannot find one credible witness personally known to the notary, the principal may bring two credible witnesses that are not personally known to the notary.
 

 

 
Guidelines For Two Credible Witnesses

1.1.  Both credible witnesses must know the document signer

2.2.  Both credible witnesses must know that the principal does not have the proper I.D. or it is impossible or very difficult to obtain one

3.3.  Both credible witnesses must know that the principal is named in the document

4.4.  Both credible witnesses must not have any beneficial or financial interest or be named in the document

5.Both credible witnesses must have the proper I.D.

 
 

Both credible witnesses must take an

oath or affirmation

 

The notary asks the credible witnesses the following;

1.1.  Do you personally know the principal?

2.2.  Do you know that the principal does not have the proper I.D. or it is impossible or very difficult to obtain one?

3.3.  Do you know that the principal is named in the document?

4.4.  Do you have any beneficial or financial interest or are you named in the document?

 
Remember!
Both credible witnesses must have the proper identification.
