One Credible Witness For The Principal

 

 
If a principal does not have the proper I.D., the principal can bring in
 

one credible witness

 
who personally knows the principal and who is personally known by the notary and proves their identity by satisfactory evidence.
 
 
The notary must give the credible witness the oath and asks the following questions:

1.1.  Do you personally know the document signer?

2.2.    Do you have any beneficial or financial interest in the document?

3.  Do you know that the document signer does not have an identification card and it would be difficult or impossible to get one?

3.4.  Is the document signer the same person named in the document?
