Subscribing Witness Identity

 

 
 
the subscribing witness must be personally known to the notary
   

OR

 

The subscribing witness’s identity must be proved to the notary by a credible witness who is personally known to the notary.

 

Remember!
 
1.The notary must personally know the credible witness

 

2.The credible witness must personally know the subscribing witness
 

The notary must give the credible witness the oath and ask the following question:

1.Do you personally know the subscribing witness?
