Notarization of Documents

 

 
1.Notaries may not notarize documents while standing in another state or country.

Notaries are not required to read or understand any document, therefore,

You may notarize a document printed in a foreign language.

2.If any document has notarial instructions printed in a language the notary does not understand, the notary may not notarize the document.

3.If the notary cannot understand the principal, the notary may not notarize the principal’s documents.

 

Notaries may not use interpreters
