An acknowledgment requires the notary to acknowledge the

IDENTITY AND SIGNATURE

of the principal

1.1. The principal must personally appear on the date and county written in the venue of the acknowledgment certificate.

2.2. The principal must be positively identified by satisfactory evidence.

The principal must either:

1.1. sign the document in the presence of the notary or,
