Fee Schedule

 

 
1.Fees that are charged to a customer by a notary shall not exceed the maximum fees allowed by state law.

2.Charging more than the prescribed fees may result in a fine of up to $750.00 and cause the notary to have his/her commission revoked or suspended.
 

Travel Fees

 
Travel fees are not mentioned in the code
 
Keep in mind that a conscientious and professional notary will discuss traveling fees with the principal before the notary service is completed
 
The principal should be told that the traveling fees are separate from all notary services requested.
