Military and Naval Reservation Employers

 

 
The request to become a notary public on a military reservation must come from the commanding officer in writing

 

 
The military/notary shall not request fees for any notary service

 

 

A MILITARY-NOTARY APPLICANT MUST BE:

 

1.1.  At least 18 years of age

2.2.  A citizen of the U.S.

3.3.  A federal civil service employee at the reservation where they will be a notary

4.4.  Take a 6-hr. course of instruction approved by the Secretary of State

5.5.  Pass the State notary examination

 

 

A military notary provides notary services on the base, station or reservation only

2.The commanding officer of the reservation or station shall notify the Secretary of State within 30 days of the termination of the enlistment of the notary public.
